FOUNDER

Tireless, visionary, always on the move: Valentina Scarpata is much more than a founder. She is a whirlwind of ideas, a creative soul that knows no rest. In addition to Raya, she runs a clothing boutique and a hospitality facility, but this is where she has put her heart. Raya is her "third child", the one she dedicates daily attention to, who grows with care and passion. For her team, Valentina is a guide. Like a hive around the queen bee, her collaborators find in her a solid point of reference, capable of inspiring, motivating and making everyone feel part of something special.

Our Story

Raya was born from a pinch of healthy madness. That of Valentina Scarpata, who for years has kept this dream in her heart: to create her own place, a refined restaurant in the heart of Taormina, where you can express yourself freely through food, hospitality, and a taste for beauty. The name "Raya" is a tribute to history: this was the name of the previous manager of the restaurant, known to all as Mrs. Raia. A legacy that Valentina has chosen to honor, transforming it into something new, but deeply rooted in the memory of the place. Today Raya is one of the most interesting realities among the restaurants in Taormina, capable of combining elegance, personality and an authentic bond with Sicily.
